Este es el ultimo fin de semana de agosto, parece mentira lo rápido que ha pasado el verano, el próximo lunes nos metemos de lleno en Septiembre, y con ello muchos de nosotros volveremos a la rutina, trabajo, colegios, en fin obligaciones. En resumen entrar un poco en la monotonía diaria pensando de nuevo en la próximas vacaciones.

Con la vuelta a los colegios, las mil y una colecciones que nos avasallan desde los kioskos de prensa, el barco por piezas, minerales de la tierra, etc, etc.  En Septiembre algo bueno también tenia que suceder para todos los seguidores de moda. Se dan cita muchas de las pasarelas mundiales, por lo que hay mucho que ver y pocos días.

This is the last weekend of August, can not believe how quickly the summer has passed, next Monday we get fully in September, and with it many of us back to the routine, work, school, in order obligations. In short get a little daily monotony thinking back on the next holidays.

Empezamos con la New York Fashion week del 5 al 12, siendo un poco patrióticos me apunto el día 5 Desigual y el 8 Custo Barcelona, la colección de Lacoste para el día 7, Y3 al día siguiente domingo 8, lunes 9 Carolina Herrera y DKNY, martes 10 Margiela, y para cerrar Nueva York Polo Ralph Lauren el día 12.

Del 13 al 17 coinciden London Fashion week y la Madrid Fashion week. Aqui la oferta y variedad es muy amplia por lo que resulta difícil reducir el numero de desfiles. 

Lo mas destacado en Madrid. Arrancamos con Victorio y Lucchino, el sabado 10 AA de Amaya Arzuaga, el domingo Francis Montesinos y cerramos el lunes con Carlos Diez, aunque me quedo con todos y cada uno de los desfiles.

En Londres para empezar con un buen sabor de boca el domingo 15 con Paul Smith y Manolo Blanhik, el lunes 16 Tom Ford y cerramos con algo mas deportivo la colección de Stella McCartney para Adidas.

No se si estáis al corriente sobre esta moda de adornar los dientes con prótesis de oro, diamantes, platino y piedras preciosas, se conoce como Grilzz, viendo la primera imagen puede llegar incluso a ser sexy o tener algo de morbo, pero nada mas allá de la realidad. La verdad es que a mi me resulta algo desagradable y no creo que sea nada cómodo.

Solo espero que como todas las modas esta sea mucho mas efímera que otras y no haya mucha gente que siga a alguno de los famosos que ya se han apuntado a esta tendencia.

Esta semana la ultima estrella en aparecer con esta tendencia ha sido Madonna en una visita a las ciudad de Roma, aunque no es la única que se ha sumado a seguir esta nueva moda, bueno tampoco es tan nueva, hace unos años los cantantes de rap ya empezaron a utilizar estas prótesis dentales. 

I just hope that as every fashion is much more ephemeral than others and many people did not follow any of the celebrities who have already follow up  to this trend.

This week the latest star to show up with this trend has been Madonna on a visit to the city of Rome, although she is not the only one who has added to follow this new trend, well it's not so new, a few years ago rappers already started using these dentures.

tie dye este otoño...tie dye for this fall

Hoy os traigo otro post social, parece ser que es por rachas que las publicaciones se confabulan para parecerse unas a otras.

Cada día las temporadas se adelantan mas. La mayoría de las firmas empiezan a mostrarnos sus nuevas colecciones y propuestas para este otoño invierno. Aun somos muchos y muchas lo que estamos disfrutando de días de playa, vacaciones y sufriendo el calor que estamos teniendo estos días.

De cualquier manera aunque no nos apetezca mucho es buen momento para ir pensado en el otoño, e ir fichando cual serán las prendas que nos acompañaran una vez que el buen tiempo nos deje.

Ya se que es un poco pronto, pero Septiembre esta a la vuelta de la esquina y con ello el cambio de temporada, hay que pensar en ir adquiriendo ropa un poco mas abrigada.

generacion 27...27 generation

Tenia preparado este post para hace unos días coincidiendo con el segundo aniversario de la muerte prematura de Amy Winehouse, el pasado 27 de julio. Pero no puede por estar de vacaciones. La artista y cantante de soul después de muchas subidas y bajadas en su vida personal, en lo profesional llego a ser la voz negra sin ser negra mas importante hasta ahora, paso a ser otro de los artistas que ha engrosado la lista de artistas tragicamente muertos antes de cumplir los 30. 

I had prepared this post for a few days coinciding with the second anniversary of the untimely death of Amy Winehouse, on July 27, but  I couldn't do it because I was on holiday. The artist and soul singer after many ups and downs in her personal life, professionally voice became black without being black far more important, it was became one of the artists who have added to these artists died tragically before the age of 30.

Con motivo de todas estas tragicas muertes, la firma Swatch ha creado una colección para este otoño llamada "Urban Expression" y particularmente con su modelo "Generation 27". Con este modelo, rememora la vida y la música de todos estos artistas del rock que por desgracia nos abandonaron a esta edad  como es el caso de Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain o Amy Winehouse.

arena en mi memoria... sand in my memory

Atrás quedaron los días con olor a eucaliptos y el aroma de las jaras, el pescado a la parrilla, los paseos en bicicleta por el monte, disfrutar del sol en esas calas entre cortados de piedra, playas de aguas bravas. Los atardeceres  alrededor de unas cervezas, esperando que caiga la noche para seguir compartiendo risas y momentos mágicos que perduraran en nuestra memoria por tiempo, esa memoria que se ido completando de recuerdos y buenos momentos a los que volver cuando tengamos nostalgia o nos encontremos agobiados. 

Este año las vacaciones de verano las pase en el Alentejo, en Portugal, una zona de playa donde aun esta por explotar el turismo, donde predominan los pueblos pequeños, las calles estrechas con casas bajas encaladas y con frisos azules, donde el estrés, los hoteles llenos de gente chillando y las urbes masificadas destacan por su ausencia. Si no conocéis esta zona de Portugal os recomiendo que busquéis unos días y os escapéis a conocer esta zona.

The days with smell of eucalyptus and  the scent of cistus are gone, grilled fish, bike rides through the woods, enjoying the sun in the bays between cut stone, wild water beaches. The sunsets around a beer, waiting for nightfall to continue sharing laughter and magic moments that will stay in our memory for time, that memory is gone completing memories and good times to come back when we find ourselves homesick or overwhelmed.


This summer I've been summer holidays in the Alentejo in Portugal, a beach area which is still untapped tourism, predominantly small towns with narrow streets and low whitewashed houses with blue friezes, where stress, hotels full of people screaming and overcrowded cities noted for their absence. If you do not know this area of ​​Portugal I recommend you seek and you might escape a few days to explore this area.

La base de operaciones estaba ubicada entre pinos y palmeras donde el único ruido alrededor era el de los cucos y pajarillos por las mañanas, los grillos al atardecer y algún que otro esporádico ladrido. Una casa solariega en medio del campo, rodeada de vegetación al resguardo de unas buganvillas.

A solo 5 minutos en coche, o un poquito mas andando se encuentra la playa de Alteirihnos, una playa con cortados que hacen de barreras naturales ofreciendo pequeñas calas dentro de la misma playa, la zona mas tranquila de esta playa esta al fondo de la misma, ademas es una zona naturista, cuando la marea esta baja, hay un paso que nos conduce a otra cala mas apartada.

Only 5 minute drive, or a little more walking you have Alteirihnos Beach, a beach with natural cuts barriers that make small coves offering within the same beach, the quieter area of the beach is at the bottom of it , also is a naturist area when the tide is low, there is a passage that leads to another more secluded cove.

La zona esta rodeada de pueblos y calas con mucho encanto, lo que ha servido para poder descubrir otros lugares cercanos. En la localidad de Vila Nova de Milfontes, después de comer en un chiringuito con la playa enfrente, junto al Farol de Milfontes , pude disfrutar de una tarde en la playa de las Furnas, una curiosidad de este sitio es la sinergia entre la desembocadura del rió Mira, el cual da nombre a la zona Odemira y la playa. Una vez desplazado hasta aquí aproveche el día cenando en una taberna de pescadores un arroz de marisco.

Un poco mas al norte de Vilanova de Milfontes se encuentra el pueblo de Porto Covo, un pueblo con mucha vida y muy animado, toda la vida gira entorno a una calle central, para llegar a unas pequeñas calas al final del pueblo. Como podéis ver en la imágenes se tratan de unas playas muy poco masificadas.

Uno de los lugares mas enigmáticos de la zona es Cabo Sardao, donde poder disfrutar de unas maravillosas puestas de sol a los pies de los acantilados donde las gaviotas son las reinas y señoras del lugar, podréis ver su vuelo a contra luz, una experiencia preciosa.

Justo al final de la zona de Odemira por el sur se encuentra el pueblo de Odeceixe, a orillas del río Ceixe, la desembocadura de este río se junta con la playa, entre ambos se abre una lengua de tierra que ofrece dos playas en un mismo espacio, una fluvial y una marítima.

Just down Odemira area to the south is the village of Odeceixe along the Ceixe river, the mouth of this river meets the beach, between them opens a spit of land that offers two beaches in the same space, a river beach and sea one.

Siguiendo mas hacia el sur y con la idea de disfrutar de las playas de Doña Ana y Camilo en la población de Lagos, ya en el Algarve portugues, las playas son preciosas, con aguas turquesas y mas calmadas que las playas de el Alentejo, realmente son unas playas magnificas, el único inconveniente a esta playas son las gran masificación de las mismas, para conocerlas no estuvo mal, aunque me quedo con las playas del Alentejo que están menos concurridas.
